Shooting Sportsman Feature Article

"I just want to thank you both for the great hunting experience that you provided for myself and my buddies on our Kansas trip. Todd it was a pure pleasure to watch you work your expertly trained dogs, both your springers and your labs. Your expertise with the dogs and cover provided us with plenty of shooting opportunities. Even for a couple of deaf (me) and blind (Al) old guys. We will not mention how many kills the two of us had. Ha, ha, ha! It was truly wonderful hunting wild birds again after so many years of game preserve hunting. I want to thank you for transporting, boarding and hunting Buster. He was always a good hunter & companion and after the Kansas trip he is really a super hunting dog."

Eukanuba Dog Food

You spent the money to get a well-bred dog. You either paid good money to have it trained or you spent countless hours training it yourself. You are almost there, do not cut corners now. Be sure that you feed a quality dog food from a reputable company. I am not a fan of "boutique" dog foods, raw meat or home cooked remedies.

Boutique companies do not have the research dollars to spend developing properly balanced foods and the veterinary staff for field testing. Raw meat is unbalanced and difficult to travel with when away from home for an extended period. Home remedies are completely unbalanced, lack scientific testing and if you are concerned about what is in the commercial dog food bag then how do you know what is in the products you are buying at the supermarket?

We feed Eukanuba's Sporting food that is a 30%/20% blend of protein and fat. Eukanuba (Iams) is a quality company with their own manufacturing plants. Our dogs are worked harder than most between training, roading, guiding and field events. They continue to excel on Eukanuba. They maintain weight throughout the season, their coats look healthy, their mental attitude is upbeat, their energy level is high, we need to feed them less food and their stools are firm.

One last thought for everyone that thinks the commercial foods are more risky than other options. Who has more to loose in a public lawsuit over what a dog ate...Is it you or the big company? Do you REALLY believe that they are not working hard to safeguard your pet's health?
